Welcome to Rothki.com This website has been developed using Microsoft Front Page 98 and Front Page 2003 and is based on static HTML pages. Originally this page has been designed to be accessed from older web browsers, and also accessible from systems with minimal performance and memory. I have implemented HTTPS to try and make the website as safe and compatible with modern browsers as possible, while still retaining the ability for most older browsers to access it. The website is hosted on my NAS locally in Perth, Western Australia and partially powered by green power throughout the day. A big focus of my efforts here is to create a website that uses minimal energy from fossil fuel sources, and I utilize very minimalistic hardware and software to host this page. The drives this is hosted on are all SSD drives, chosen specifically for their low power consumption and durability. In the future I have plans to add battery storage and completely power the entire system, including the NBN FTTN equipment and router etc from solar power, so the whole website is 100% powered by renewable energy independent from the power grid. I am currently learning how to use Front Page and add videos, links, image galleries etc to the website. I am periodically updating the page and keep adding things to it. I am playing with the formatting and styling of the page. I know that I could use Social Media or other means to post my things, but that is just not the same. Maybe this website is showing my age, who knows :).
